Girona´s geographical location is strategically excellent: the fact that it is just one hour north of Barcelona and borders with France at La Jonquera has meant that Girona has always been an important tourist destination.

Getting to Girona is straightforward. The A7 motorway connects with the French motorways to the north and with the other cities of Spain to the south. It is worth pointing out the good communications that exist these days thanks to the establishment of low-cost airlines flying out of Girona Costa Brava Airport, which has made it possible to increase the number of visitors and to connect the region with many of the main cities in Europe.

In addition, the TALGO train provides a direct link to other leading European cities such as Madrid, Zurich, Geneva, Paris and Milan.
